How Do I Get Into The Training Program?

 

Getting into the Call Center Training Program is pretty simple.  The Workforce Investment Act has received funding to provide these classes at NO COST to WIA eligible residents of Lancaster County and the surrounding area. 

 

So, how do you get WIA Certified?  Simply visit the Lancaster County OneStop Office on White Street in Lancaster and find out if you are already WIA Certified.  If you aren’t and you qualify, the staff at the OneStop will get you into the orientation program to get you WIA Certified which makes you eligible for the Call Center Training Program.

 

If you are already WIA certified, the OneStop staff will help get you into the next open class for the Call Center Training Program.  The OneStop staff will ask you to complete some assessment testing to determine your skills.  Depending on how strong your skills are, the staff will place you into the appropriate class or classes to earn your Call Center Training Certificate. 

 

Depending on your skills, the classes range from a 36-hour basic course up to a more advance course of 120 hours.  Click here to view the classes offered in the program.

 

Regardless of your skill level, once you’ve completed these classes you will have the skills necessary to begin a career in the call center industry.

 

So, again, what do you need to do? 

1.  Visit the Lancaster County OneStop Office on White Street in Lancaster and ask them about getting into the Call Center Training Program.
2. The OneStop Staff will determine if you are WIA Certified
3. If you ARE WIA CERTIFIED, the staff will assist you with getting scheduled to take the assessment testing and will then schedule you into the proper classes.  These classes will be made available to you at NO COST.
4. If you ARE NOT WIA CERTIFIED but are eligible, the OneStop Staff will assist you with getting into the next WIA Orientation Session so that you can become WIA Certified and eligible for the Call Center Training Program classes at no cost to you.
5. If you are interested in taking the courses but cannot receive WIA Certification, you can still take the courses by paying a tuition fee.
