What Does The Program Cost?

 

The Call Center Training Program has received funding from several sources including U.S. Federal Recovery Act funds through the SC Department of Commerce, the Workforce Investment Act, and Lancaster County Government.

 

If you are a resident who has lost your job due to a recent layoff or closure, you will need to go to the local OneStop Office on White Street in Lancaster and check to see if you are WIA Certified.  If you are WIA Certified and you want to take the courses, the courses will be made available to you at NO COST.  If you are eligible but not yet WIA Certified, the OneStop staff will work with you to get you certified and eligible for the call center training program – again at no cost to you!

 

If you are a resident who would like to take the courses but you are not WIA Certified, you can still take part by paying a tuition fee for the classes.  You will be tested on your skills and the OneStop and York Tech staff will determine what classes you need for the program and will provide you with a cost.  If you should need the entire 120-hour course to earn your certificate the cost would be $569.  However, some residents will test out of many of these classes and would pay less than the full tuition class – contingent on what classes are needed.
