Residents of Lancaster County that have lost their job due to recent layoffs and closures may be eligible for the Lancaster County Call Center Training program.  This program, funded in part by the SC Department of Commerce, Workforce Investment Act Board, York Technical College, and Lancaster County Government, was created to help retrain displaced workers in the community.  The classes are offered at NO COST to qualifying residents.  Residents who do not qualify can also take part in the classes by paying a small tuition fee.

The Lancaster County Economic Development Corporation has recruited back office, headquarters, and call centers to the local area.  In addition, the LCEDC is currently working with several potential call center companies in an effort to bring them to Lancaster County.

The Call Center Training Program was setup in order to get hundreds of our residents trained in basic call center skills.  Having a highly trained, ready-to-go workforce will help us in our efforts to attract these call center companies to Lancaster County.

This website has been created to help you better understand the call center industry and to provide information to our residents on how to take advantage of these classes.   If you have questions about the program, please do not hesitate to contact us through the Lancaster County OneStop Office.

We appreciate your interest in the program and hope you will contact us today and register for these classes that can get you started on a new career in the Call Center Industry!
